cruise, cats, and the Caribbean

For perhaps my last post of the year… please reminisce with me on the Royal Caribbean cruise I took to Key West! Right after Thanksgiving, I took my first cruise — a 5 day Eastern Caribbean experience. It was the perfect length, with two stops (Key West and Labadee, Haiti), and two days at sea. We sailed on the Grandeur, which is Royal’s oldest and smallest ship.

Our main priority in taking this cruise was visiting the Hemingway Museum at Key West. They have 58 cats! And a loooot of toes, more than the usual amount :)

At Key West, we also visited the Butterfly Garden, and snapped photos of the Mile Zero marker. It was a short but fulfilling visit to the southernmost point in the US!

Aside from that, we had a great time disconnecting (with the exception of watching the World Cup), swimming, and sun bathing with great views.

And a bonus: also had a great time on Royal Caribbean’s private beach at Labadee, Haiti!

We enjoyed it so much that we’re taking another cruise in March! Stay tuned :)
