streets of little havana
Last Saturday, I drove 15 minutes from my apartment to Little Havana. I was on a mission: to experiment with some street photography. It’s been a while since I have done a purely creative shoot, and I loved it. I had signed up for a Street Photography class with Miami Photography Group, led by Rochelle Berman. It was a small group, and I had a great time meeting everyone and wandering the streets.
For the occasion, I used a roll of my go-to Kodak Gold 200, but I also took out a spare roll of Tri-X 400 black and white film. I think it added some much needed nostalgia to the shots! First up: scenes from Guantanamera Cigars.
Next up, some classic cars! I would have gotten some color here too, but ran out. Trust that they were beautiful though :)
And lastly, here are some candids + spontaneous shots off the street! Hope you enjoy, and I’ll definitely try to do a creative shoot with the group every month or so going forward.
