third time's the conference
I’m very excited to announce that I’ve been accepted to what will be my third academic conference!
I’ll be presenting my thesis work at the American Educational Studies Association annual conference, which will be held here in Baltimore at the beginning of November.
You can learn more about AESA and its 2019 conference here.
I will be presenting in the session titled Issues English Language Learners Face in Schools and State Policy. This session will take place on November 1, from 1:45-3:15. Please come out if you’re able!
The other presentations sound absolutely fascinating, and I can’t wait to hear about them!
In addition to presenting, I’m still hoping to publish my thesis findings in an academic journal or two. I’m also considering a few research opportunities at Johns Hopkins to get involved with over the course of my residency year. Though I’m plenty busy with coursework and clinical, I’m confident in being able to balance co-teaching + coursework + research + photo shoots (#timemanagement!).
