london calls me a stranger

Taylor and I just got back from our London trip, and it was fabulous! Where to start!?

We stayed at the historic Fox and Anchor pub, which has 6 boutique rooms. It was beautiful, had the best sticky toffee pudding, and an oversized tub (a must). Plus, a great selection of British snacks fully stocked in the mini bar!

The amazing dining didn’t stop there— I made sure to stock up on as much afternoon tea as possible.

First up, was a Royal Shakespeare tea at The Globe. After the tea, we watched A Comedy of Errors live, which was fantastic!

Next, we took the train up to York & saw the sights there, and had a wonderful tea at Betty’s!

Another highlight of our trip was visiting Blenheim Palace. We took the train (yes, again…) over to Oxford and then made a detour to see the lovely English countryside.

We saw SO MANY geese!

Also, the gorgeous palace. There was a food festival happening that day, which was delicious as well.

Staying in central London had its perks, and we had a great time exploring the city. Cat cafes, rose gardens, and unusually sunny weather were some perks!

We also walked past parliament, toured the Tower of London, explored the Imperial War museum, saw the Prime Meridian at the Royal Observatory (which had fantastic city views), went up to the Shard, and saw so many more iconic sights. Plus, frequently made use of the underground!

The “main” reason we visited London was to see the Arctic Monkeys play in Coventry. Although that was the only “cold” day we had, the concert more than made up for it!

Although I couldn’t bring my camera into the venue, please enjoy some of my favourite scenic captures of the UK while wandering around to end this blog :)

We also spent a day in Paris, but I’m saving those film photos for when we get our professional photos back! So stay tuned for more soon!
