delaware beaches

To round off celebrating my birthday (see earlier post re: sunflowers if you missed it!), my boyfriend and I took a weekend trip to the beach!

We originally went to Dewey Beach and stayed the night there Saturday. Unfortunately, it rained most of the day so we just stayed at the hotel for the most part. I did bravely brace the wind enough to get these iPhone shots:

Fortunately, however, Sunday proved to be a much brighter (& warmer) day! After a late breakfast at Cracker Barrel, we drove to nearby Lewes Beach to spend the afternoon.

It started out a little cloudy, but that was actually good, since it made for great images:

Then, by the late afternoon, it got reeallllly sunny and hot!

After spending hours at the beach, enjoying the sand and swimming in the ocean, we went to the nearby town of Lewes to have an early dinner and eat ice cream.
