portraits, part II

And… it’s finally here! The long awaited, second post in the Portraits of European Monarchy series. It’s been just over two months since I got my two kittens, and a lot has happened!

Mostly, the cats have gotten larger.

When we got Napoleon, he was underweight at about 1.8 pounds. Now, he’s even bigger than Charlemagne, weighing it at just over 5.6 pounds! Charlemagne is still fluffier, though, and weighs about 5.5 pounds.

As the cats have grown, it’s gotten harder and harder to tell them apart, especially from a distance. Thankfully, Charlemagne has his white feet to distinguish him.

It’s also possible to tell the difference because Charlemagne is perfectly fine being picked up and approached, while Napoleon only likes pets if he comes to you.

Something else that has changed over the past several weeks is that there are NO more vet visits for a whole year! Although I’ll miss the lovely folks over at Clarendon Animal Care, I know the cats won’t miss having to get their monthly vaccines!

Apparently, full size cats are around 10 pounds, so the kittens are just over half way grown. I can’t wait to see how much they grow in the coming months!
